How to Use

  • Wash & Soak: Rinse Bamboo Rice 2–3 times with clean water. Soak for 8–10 hours (preferably overnight) to soften the grains and reduce cooking time.
  • Cook: Use 1 cup of Bamboo Rice with 4 cups of water.
  • Pressure Cooker: Cook for 6–8 whistles and allow the pressure to release naturally.
  • Open Pot: Simmer over medium heat for 45–60 minutes, or until the grains become tender while retaining their pleasantly chewy texture. Drain excess water if required.
  • Best Ways to Enjoy: Bamboo Rice is perfect for steamed rice, traditional South Indian meals, kanji, porridge, pulao, and rice bowls. It also works well in payasam, khichdi, and other wholesome recipes. Its nutty flavour pairs beautifully with sambar, rasam, kuzhambu, vegetable curries, dal, and traditional gravies.
